Illicit Hemp and Cannabis Abuse is of the Flowers and Leaves

Hemp and cannabis flowers and leaves are non-ingestible intoxicant plant parts that induce changes to alertness from their toxic cannabinoid constituents. They are commonly sold, either as pure isolated cannabinoid drugs or as full-spectrum or broad spectrum extractions of cannabinoids.

Hemp and cannabis flowers and leaves contain excessive amounts (far beyond trace amounts) of cannabinoids that have depressant, anesthetic, narcotic, and psychedelic properties from their direct reduction, interference, inhibition, and paralysis of central nervous system neurotransmitter signaling within the endocannabinoid system in the body.

The mechanisms of the analgesic effect of cannabinoids include inhibition of the release of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides from presynaptic nerve endings, modulation of postsynaptic neuron excitability, activation of descending inhibitory pain pathways, and reduction of neural inflammation.

—Frontiers in Pharmacology, Cannabinoids and Pain: New Insights From Old Molecules

While some cannabinoids, such as THC, are also neurotoxic and cause lasting nerve cell death, other cannabinoids, such as CBD, only have toxic side effects that temporarily intervene with neurotransmitters in nerve functioning, as follows:

  • "inhibition of the release of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides from presynaptic nerve endings" is an inhibitory narcotic property
  • "modulation of postsynaptic neuron excitability" is a paralyzing psychedelic property
  • "activation of descending inhibitory pain pathways" is an interfering anesthetic property
  • "reduction of neural inflammation" is a reducing depressant property.

Cannabinoids are Narcotics

Any method of hemp and cannabis flower and leaf consumption, regardless of the types of cannabinoids present, is like any other narcotic drug and abused for inducing states of false well-being, such as painlessness, dissociation, and manic euphoria.

As is common with narcotics, they also cause common effects of inducing somnolence, drowsiness, sleep, insensibility, nausea, decreased appetite, and apathy. Cannabinoids are often confusingly considered dietary supplements, that are wrongly compared to supplements like melatonin, by quackery industry and government sponsored clinical trials that study the already known narcotic effects of cannabinoids.

Cannabinoids are Intoxicants Found in Flowers and Leaves

The consumption of hemp and cannabis flower and leaf has no benefit to health, nor can hemp and cannabis flower and leaf be used medicinally for healing, because they are a intoxicant that interferes with bodily functions which also increases the side effects of drugs concurrently taken with them.

Contrary to government funded and endorsed clinical trials, The nutrients and other constituents found in hemp and cannabis flowers and leaves are not viable because of the presence of the intoxicant cannabinoids.

For example, CBD is one of the constituents in full-spectrum and broad spectrum extractions of hemp and cannabis flowers and leaves that intoxicate and interfere with the body's functions, therefore full-spectrum and broad spectrum extracts of hemp and cannabis flowers and leaves are not medicinal herbal dietary supplements for health and healing, but instead inedible intoxicants.

Ingredients that are derived from parts of the cannabis plant that do not contain THC or CBD might fall outside the scope of this exclusion, and therefore might be able to be marketed as dietary supplements.

—USFDA, FDA Regulation of Cannabis and Cannabis-Derived Products, Including Cannabidiol (CBD)

Any hemp and cannabis product that is derived from anything other than the seed is not to be consumed as a dietary supplement, since all hemp and cannabis flowers and leaves contain cannabinoid intoxicants. Additionally, any hemp and cannabis products that have CBD listed anywhere on the label suggest that the purified drug CBD has been added to the product and is considered illegal drug sales.

Adverse and Dangerous Intoxicant Effects

Hemp and cannabis flowers and leaves are dangerous to use when driving, when working, and operating heavy machinery due to their nervous system depressing effects of drowsiness, sedation, lethargy, and fatigue. Some users of cannabinoids may eventually believe they are drugging themselves and poisoning themselves by recognizing reactive changes in their own behavior, such as anger, irritability, panic, and dissociation.

CBD is Wrongly Promoted as a Safe and Non-intoxicating

News organizations, research organizations, and manufactures use evidence-based pseudo-science to promote the recreational drug use and quackery self-care of hemp and cannabis flowers and leaves wrongly as a safe and a non-intoxicating wellness supplement. But hemp and cannabis flowers and leaves actually have a multitude of adverse and detrimental health effects causing physical, emotional, and mental impairment in the short-term and long-term.
