 Reishi Mushroom Dosage

There are four main ways to take Reishi mushroom:

 Reishi Mushroom Tea Soup

1. Tea Soup

Broth is freshly prepared on stovetop, sliced Reishi mushroom fruiting-bodies are added to simmering water and slowly cooked at a moderate temperature, approx. 165*F, for at least one hour.

Reishi Mushroom Spirits

2. Spirits

A few slices of the fruiting-body are added to bottle of spirits and placed in a cool dark place. It is then shaken several times a week for over a month before drinking.

Reishi Mushroom Powder

3. Powder

Fresh powder or encapsulated, taken either directly in the mouth or in a small 2-4 oz cup of lukewarm water, gently whisked for a few seconds.

4. Liquid

Liquids may be taken sub-lingually for maximum absorption or added to a small amount of cool water and slowly sipped so that the extract is easier to take

 

How to take Reishi Mushroom

Each dosage is different, depending on the supplement preparation and absorption methods:

  1. Soup = 9 – 18 grams
    Long cycle of heating breaks cell walls and activates polysaccharides. Great source of vitamins, minerals, amino acids.
  1. Spirits = 1 ounce 1-3 times a day taken as a shot
    Alcohol extraction of a portion of constituents, such as unique lipids, acids and active minerals for the vascular and muscle relaxant effects.
  1. Powder = 1,000 – 6,000 milligrams
    A higher absorption and quicker way to extract for a basic nutritional source of vitamins, minerals, amino acids.
  1. Liquid = 500 – 3,000 milligrams
    Easiest to absorb and immediate effects; tincture by-passes the digestive system and delivers a portion of the active preserved constituents directly into bloodstream.
