Pathogens are external contagious agents to our body that bypass or overcome immunity and the immune system, thereby causing an infection. Within the Germ Theory, these pathogens are commonly known as germs which cause sickness. These germs include; viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and helminths (worms).
The Germ Theory is Practiced within Allopathic Medicine
Pathology is the field of medical study that postulates that germs are the cause of sickness, illness, and other specific diseases. Therefore, different types of medical interventions are used, such as drugs and antibiotics, to treat a person infected by germs.
