Tonic Tinctures Are Full Spectrum Liquid Extracts

A Tonic Tincture is a liquid formula extracted from a tonic for full-spectrum potency, compared to using single marker or ‘standardized’ dietary ingredients.*

Full Spectrum SupplementDefinition: A full-spectrum supplement contains all the constituents of a tonic food or herb in holistically balanced and safe concentrations; including the unique constituents, as well as all of its naturally occurring nutrient vitamins and minerals.* The minerals, as they are naturally found in tonic herbs, are very important and, through a properly preserved full-spectrum extraction into liquid, will maintain their highly active ionic state for full-spectrum potency.*

    For Absolute Potency Choose Full-spectrum

Full-spectrum includes all constituents of a tonic adaptogen superfood which encompasses all the health supporting benefits.*

Avoid supplement extracts that may sound 'better' because of % standardization and ratio extracts that are confusing. For example:

    • % standardization means a percentage of a single marker constituent is extracted and mixed with raw powdered herb. A % of ginsenosides is different than ginseng root and has limited benefits.
    • 75:1, 20:1, 10:1, 8:1, 5:1 designate an herbal ratio extract. A ratio extract of 20:1 means that 20 pounds are used to make 1 pound; but 20:1 does not mean 20 times as potent, since it is actually a partial extraction with partial benefits.

Note: Single marker constituents are standardized in the supplement market and may actually be less effective than whole herb ^ versions of a tonic herb.*

In fact, standardization for singular active constituents, such as polysaccharides, growth-factors or ginsenosides, may actually be less potent than the full-spectrum raw material ^ they were extracted from!*

Additionally, an extract ratio, such as 4:1, 8:1 or 20:1, may not be 'better' because it represents a partial extraction procedure ^.

But don't take our word for it!

Super Food ConceptExpert teacher and pre-eminent herbalist Lesley Tierra author of Healing with the Herbs of Life ^ says, "Interestingly and most importantly, standardizing herbs doesn't always increase their effectiveness...tests of various herbs, determine that the whole plant extracts [full-spectrum] containing all the herbs' compounds are more effective then their standardized extracts.*"
